36,000

Bradley and I have recently started meeting our preacher once a week. I think the underlying intent for the preacher is to make sure our marriage starts out on the right track. The first meeting was Thursday night, and we really enjoyed it.

We talked about many things, but the thing that stuck with me the most was our children. I know that we don't have them yet, but I think about them often and I pray for them everyday. So naturally, when children were mentioned, my ears were completely open. And we happened to do a little math. We discovered that if we have two children, and in twenty years those children have two children, and in twenty years those children have two children, and so on... in 300 years, we will have over 36,000 decendents. All of those children will be impacted by the decisions we make. It made me realize exactly how important it is that we raise our children with Christ as the center of our home.

And my prayer is that we do exactly that. And that all of our children and our children's children and their children and all the children that come after that live with Christ as the center of their lives.

Dyslexia

A bit of background info: Bradley is dyslexic.

He's been reading a book called "Point Man." The is a chapter in the book labeled "How to Raise Masculine Sons and Feminine Daughters." When he was first scamming through the book, he saw the chapter and said, "Man, I hope my dyslexia doesn't kick in when I read that."

I laughed hysterically, so I figured it might at least bring you a smile. :)
