Yet Again...

The semester is now over for me. All I can do is sit and wait for grades to be posted. But of course, today could not go smoothly. So here goes it: I had two finals today- one at 8:00 and one at 10:30. I made the one at 8 and was out of there in under thirty minutes. So I went home and studied until about 10 and got in my car to take my last final. Well, my car doesn't crank. The battery is dead yet again. I wait a few minutes, try again, no change. So I go inside and call the school. I called five different people before someone finally answered. I explained the situation and she said she would have my professor call me as soon as possible. Well, about an hour later, another one of my professors and my somewhat of a boss called to see if I could come in early and work in the lab. I explained to her the situation, and she asked where I lived, and volunteered to pick me up. So I was able to take my final, and my professor was very understanding. After my final, I came up to the lab an hour early and found that one of my nursery coworkers was there and she said she would pick me up this evening so I could make it to the nursery for work tonight. Everything has worked out fine, but it has been a crazy day. I'm sure my blood pressure went up this morning. I was pretty annoyed. There's nothing like having a dead battery, no transportation, and an important event to get to.

With that said, would anyone care to buy me this 09 loaded Traverse?

Pretty Puppies!

Since I don't have children, my pride and joy is my doggies- Toto and Paris. Toto is not really mine, but I love her all the same. She is actually Bradley's mom's dog, but Bradley's dad has become allergic to animals, so Toto lives with us. Anyways, I was taking some of their Christmas pictures today. They were so cute that I decided to make our Christmas cards with their pictures on it. I had Bradley's mom take a few snapshots of us, but the puppies are much cuter.

Crazy Cold

Last night, I went to bed fairly warm. This morning, I was freezing and looked out the window to see snow everywhere. It was very pretty, but I wasn't too excited to drive in it. I had my Education final today at 10:30, so I left the house at 9:45. Keep in mind I live like maybe 5 miles from the school. I drove between 15-20mph. Yes, I am a sissy. I hate driving in the snow. So anyways, I get to school with little sliding on the rodes. I go inside, take my final, which consisted of 10 essay questions. I'm pretty sure I passed it with flying colors, but my hand cramps. Bad. So I finish my final and go outside only to find out my car won't start, yet again. Luckily, Bradley was in town, so he picked me up for lunch and brought me back. I had to be back at 2 for work, but ended up coming back an hour early. It worked out cause the girl here was ready to leave anyways. I'll be here till 5 and then we'll see if my car starts then... Basically, today has been a crazy cold day, and it's only half way over...

Last Day, More Mice, and My Dream House

I just realized it was the last day of classes for this semester. My mind has been going 90 miles an hour trying to get everything ready for finals. I'm a huge procrastinator. I need 16 hours of observation time that I knew of since the beginning of the semester. 8 of those had to be done by midterm and when did I do them? That's right. The week of midterm. The other 8 have to be completed and logged and in my professor's office by noon Friday. So when will I complete my last observation? You guessed it. 11:00 Friday. But at least I'll have them done right? If you give me a deadline, you can trust I will have everything done, but also know it will be done at the last possible minute:)

Right after I blogged yesterday, I got off work, went home, and guess what? We caught two more mice. They were little ones, so in some weird way, it didn't freak me out as bad. Still- that brings the total to 7 I believe. And that kind of makes me feel gross. Especially since they have all been caught in the kitchen...

Oh and check out this house. On my list of things to do before I die, building this house is on there. Actually I'd like to do in time so that my kids can be raised in it:)

Yes, I know, I'm a dreamer. Who knows? If we plan right, this dream may just come true :)

Christmas, mice, and Nashville

I'm a horrible blogger. I haven't given any updates in quite some time, but then again, my life is one big routine, and not much changes from day to day. With the holidays here and this semester of school nearly complete, I'm sure my routine will change, and maybe I'll have interesting things to blog about.

Thanksgiving was just last week, and that was a great day. We spent the day with Bradley's family, which was very nice. They are a wonderful group of people to be around and the food was good too, so that was a double plus! We also got all of our Christmas decor up, so I've been feeling a bit cheery lately. Christmas time always makes me feel happy- I don't know if it's the lights or the music or the good food, but I just feel happy when Christmas time is here. It's probably the food :)

Speaking of food, we have been feeding a little family of mice. We caught one with a live trap a few weeks ago. Last week we set up the snapper traps and we caught 3 in a row and then another one that night. I think that's all we've got so far, and hopefully they are all gone. I feel sorry for them when they die on the trap, but when I find rat poo in my kitchen, my sorrow quickly disappears. We also have a mole in our front yard. It's been digging around. We think it probably ventured over as a result of the construction going on next door- there is a Jehovas Witness church being built next door.

Wedding Plans
Well, not much going on there. I'm going with each of my bridesmaids within the next month to look for dresses. So that will be fun. Other than that, I haven't really done much. I do a lot of thinking about it though, now that I have time to think :) Bradley still hasn't gotten extremely excited. I keep telling him how many days we have left, and he said to just let him know when we get about a month away, so maybe he'll get excited then. We did decide on Nashville for our honeymoon. At first we were just going to stop at several places that we want to go to between now and then, kind of like a road trip, but when I researched stuff between here and there, Nashville had a lot of things we were interested in. We are going to take at least 2 little detours along the way. One is to Mobile, Al to see the USS Alabama. It's a ship we can tour and they have a lot of airplanes too to look at. That is more for Bradley- he's into that kind of stuff. My detour leads us to Juliette, Ga to the set of Fried Green Tomatoes. It is one of my all-time favorite movies and they have preserved the set and even opened the famous Whistle Stop Cafe, so we'll definitely have a try a fried green tomatoe. In Nashville, our big thing is going to the Grand Ol Opry. I just hope they have someone we recognize. But if they don't, I'm sure the experience will be unforgettable either way.

Ok- thats all for now. I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!
